Sony will release the Raphael Saadiq album ‘Stone Rollin’ in Australia on May 20.

Raphael Saadiq is one of the hottest soul singers in the USA. He started out as a member of the California R&B act Tony! Toni! Tone! in the late 80s. They had two Top 10 US hits with ‘If I Had No Loot’ and ‘Anniversary’ in 1993.

Saadiq went solo in 1995 and had his own hit with ‘Ask Of You’ from the ‘Higher Learning’ soundtrack. 

He has collaborated with Whitney Houston, Mary J. Blige, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Macy Gray, Snoop Dogg and John Legend.

At the Grammy Awards this year, Raphael Saadiq was the bandleader for the Mick Jagger band performance of the Solomon Burke classic ‘Everybody Needs Somebody To Love’.

‘Stone Rollin’ is the fourth solo album for Raphael Saadiq. He recorded the album at his own Blakeslee Recording Company is Los Angeles and co-produced the record with Chuck Brungardt.
