Coachella Eradicates Every COVID-Related Safety Restriction Including Masks & Negative Tests

After having rescheduled four times over the span of the last two years, it would seem as if Coachella 2022 is making very sure to make this year’s highly anticipated event feel as normal as normal can get. According to reports from PEOPLE, the music festival went online to update their admission and health guidelines, as well as their safety rules on Tuesday, February 15th.

Stagecoach, another large music festival, held at the Empire Polo in Indio, Calif., along with Coachella’s update, has implemented a similar set of rules, disclosing that negative tests and masks will no longer be requirements for entrance into the venue.

Here is a look at the Festival Admission Update:

“As we prepare to spend an incredible weekend in the desert together we are announcing that there will be no vaccination, testing or masking requirements at Stagecoach 2022, in accordance with local guidelines,” a tweet shared on the event’s official Twitter page on Tuesday reads.

Despite the new regulations, however, attendees have been cautioned that “the rules are subject to change at any time as determined by federal, state, or local government agencies, artists, or the promoter.”

“Such requirements may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures and entry requirements, such as proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID-19 test, and other protective measures such as requiring attendees to wear face coverings,” updated guidelines explain.
