The Hand Shake E.P is a hard and hooky example of Australian new-punk at its best. I say new-punk to justify the fact that like any other genre "punk" has developed in a number of directions including the introduction electronic sounds, which these guys manage to use in the enhancement of their music. At the same time the E.P relies on the power of ironic and clever lyrics that spit out of the speaker with venom. If you are a fan of jumping up and down on your bed playing air guitar and screaming lyrics as a remedy to cure the ills of the world, this one is for you. Looking forward to hearing what Super Best Friends spew forth next. Tops!
