  1. REVIEW: Radiohead - The King of Limbs

The sudden Radiohead album ‘The King of Limbs’ harks back a decade in sound for me. I’m was thinking ‘Kid A’ on this record as soon as the opening cut ‘Bloom’ started playing. It is that multi-layered Thom Yorke Vs the rest of the band with electronic percussion giving it an immediate Radiohead sound.

  2. REVIEW: Daft Punk - Tron: Legacy OST

It’s been a long time coming, but finally Daft Punk’s soundtrack to the upcoming ‘Tron: Legacy’ film is out.

  4. Glenn Richards - Glimjack

One time Augie March front man Glenn Richards has gone solo. Why? “Why an album at all?” he, quite rightly, retorts preemptively in the associated press release. There is nothing special about Richards now going under his own moniker. It is still a collection of his songs with a different band helping him out.

  5. Phil Collins - Going Back

Phil Collins and I do have something in common. For our whole lives we have loved soul music, although there is a considerable generation gap between Collins and I, we have both grown up with the style and as such, Motown is a big part of our lives.

  6. Edwyn Collins - Losing Sleep

It has been three years since Edwyn Collins released an album, and six since he wrote one (2007’s ‘Home Again’ was written in 2004 before he suffered a major brain hemorrhage in 2005). You would be forgiven for thinking Collins was going to write a difficult to digest record about the trials and tribulations of being rendered helpless after an experience like that, and to some extent he has, but not in a way that is alien to those of us fortunate enough not to have gone through these experience.

Brisbane’s Hungry Kids Of Hungary’s debut album is as good as their name is terrible.

  9. Tinie Tempah : Disc-overy

Those outside the UK might be a little baffled over Tinie Tempah’s number one debut there, but those who hear Disc-overy are certain to understand.

  10. John Cale - Paris 1919

I know what you’re thinking. “Wasn’t this album released in the 70s?” You’d be thinking right too. 1973 in fact! But since John Cale is currently touring his most commercialised album, I thought I’d give it a run through.
