Is Eddie Spaghetti from Supersuckers really ridiculously rich or do Supersuckers think we are all super suckers? In a posting at their MySpace page, Supersuckers state that Eddie lost more than $75m in the Bernard Madoff Ponzi con. “Along with other celebrities including Kevin Bacon, Kyra Sedgwick, Steven Spielberg, and Jeffrey Katzenberg, Spaghetti fell victim to Ponzi-schemer Bernard Madoff. On the advice of his international team of lawyers, Spaghetti hasn't commented on the exact extent of his loss, but sources claim it could be upwards of $75 million. Spaghetti, best known as the lead singer and frontman of the Supersuckers, is not asking anyone to feel sorry for him, though he has mentioned that there's a sale at the Supersuckers online store. A return to his lucrative writing career, as well as another solo release are on the horizon this year as part of his financial restructuring”, the blog reads.
$75 million? If Supersuckers charged $100 for their albums and $1000 for their tickets I doubt he’d have that much money.
Maybe there is some family money in the Spaghetti family. After all. his real name is Edward Carlyle Daly III. Only rich people have names that long and with numbers at the end.
Eddie wants your bucks up front. “He's personally requesting that all fans attend these shows, and buy their tickets in advance,” the statement reads.
Just to be certain, you should all go out and buy a copy of the last Supersuckers album ‘Get It Together’. Eddie needs you.
