WEEZER CAKE

MELBOURNE BAND BAKE A CAKE TO GET A GIG WITH WEEZER

Oh that it were that easy to get a gig supporting Weezer on their first tour to Australia in 16 years. Apparently it is! The band in question EMPRA are now being presented to Weezer’s management regarding the support act slot.

The boys from EMPRA baked a blue Weezer cake that featured a sheet of icing made with an edible printed picture using the Weezer Blue Album artwork (1994), replacing the images of the Weezer band members' heads with their own heads. Along with a will to succeed and an application to support Weezer on their upcoming tour of Australia they bundled it up and sent it off to Chugg Entetainment, who were very grateful indeed and arranged for the band to be presented to Weezers management. Nice one.

If you are interested in checking out the band and live in Perth, EMPRA are currently on tour there. Here is a list of upcoming shows you might wanna get along to.

3 Aug Rocket Room, Perth (WA)

4 Aug Prince of Wales, Bunbury (WA)

5 Aug Railway Hotel, Fremantle (WA)

18 Aug Espy Front Bar, Melbourne (VIC) Homecoming show

Dancing Heals, absolutely. I am firm believer it is the best exercise and enjoy showing off my moves every once in a while. And whilst you may not be able to shake your limbs around energetically with Melburnian band Dancing Heals’, latest album, “You Will Never Be Younger Than You Are Now” (quite a statement, huh?), there is still a nice swaying that can accompany the soothing and mellow sounding tracks.
