Danger Mouse, Chrome, and the people behind Arcade Fire’s interactive clip provide a 3D world for Rome.
Following the amazing Google Chrome/HTML5 interactive experience for the Arcade Fire single ‘We Used To Wait’ (which let users incorporate their hometown maps and Street View into the clip), the creators have now dreamt something up for the Rome project.
Writer and director Chris Milk and creative director Daniel Ilic have created the site 3 Dreams Of Black for the Rome project song ‘Black’.
Video, 2D and 3D graphics all come together in a virtual environment to accompany the song, made with new WebGL technology.
You can explore the song and the environment at the link above if you have the Google Chrome browser.
If not, check out a Making Of video below, featuring scenes from the clip, the developers explaining the technology, and a whole heap of Chrome marketing.
The Rome album was released today.
