Indie pop stalwarts Death Cab For Cutie have live-streamed the video for their new single ‘You Are A Tourist’.
The Washington band came up with the cockamamie idea in the lead up to their seventh album Codes And Keys.
They were planning to shoot the film clip for the album’s first single ‘You Are A Tourist’ in real-time and stream it on the web.
The clip went out at 7pm EST in the US last night, with a fifteen-minute lead in.
This is no mere video of them miming to the song. It had multi-faceted sets, synchronised dancing girls, strings of lights, spectacular projections, ticker tape and cameras seemingly everywhere,
And from what we could see, no major screw-ups (a lip-syncing slip or two aside).
Codes And Keys comes out on May 31 but in the meantime, have a look at the video below.
