Sherbet guitarist Harvey James lost his battle with cancer died at age 58 on January 15 after a year long battle with cancer.
The concert Gimme That Guitar, to be headlined by Harvey’s former band Sherbet and featuring appearances from Richard Clapton, Renee Geyer, Dragon, Jon English, Kevin Borich, Lindsay Wells of Healing Force and Swanee has been moved to the Enmore Theatre.
All tickets purchased for the Factory Theatre will be valid at The Enmore but many more tickets will go on sale at 10am Thursday, February 10.
‘Gimme That Guitar – A Tribute To Harvey James’ will be most likely one of the last times Sherbet fans will ever see the band back together.
Sherbet are without question Australia’s greatest ever pop band with a string of hits spanning the entire 70s.
Harvey James joined as guitarist in 1975 after a stint with Mississippi and Ariel. He came along for their signature tune ‘Howzat’, a number 4 song in the UK.
