Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson have had a curious back and forth through the media and twitter over her landmark album.
Rolling Stone reports that during his recent appearance on Later With Jools Holland, Ronson spoke about the recording of Back To Black.
He said, “Amy Winehouse would come to me with just a song and an acoustic guitar, and then kind of you dream up the rhythm arrangement and track around it and you help arrange all sorts of things."
Offended, Winehouse shot back on twitter: “Ronson you're dead to me; one album I write an you take half the credit- make a career out of it? Don't think so BRUV.”
Shortly after that, Ronson said to the BBC, “I've always been really candid about saying that Amy is the reason I am on the map. If it wasn't for the success of Back To Black, no one would have cared too much about [my album] Version."
And just like that, all was smoothed over, Winehouse tweeting: “Ronson I love you; that make it better? you knoww I love you- it's a jew thingz x whup rza.”
Ronson is currently promoting his new album Record Collection, which features guests Ghostface Killah, Boy George, Spank Rock, Wiley, Simon Le Bon and the massive hit ‘Bang Bang Bang’ with Q-Tip and MNDR.
Winehouse has been almost silent on the recording front since Back To Black. She and Ronson have promised music early next year, but he recently stated that they are yet to start recording.
