After touring nationally with the Vengaboys in January 2012, The Herbs – an indie rock ‘n’ roll tribute to the Spice Girls will be once again gracing the stage around Australia, showcasing their unique take on the amazing ‘90s pop group; the Spice Girls. The news that The Spice Girls would cut short their world tour in 2008, pulling dates in Australia among other countries, fell hard on Australian fans. Two men in particular, Laurie Mahon and Nova Smith, staged a protest concert in Newcastle, performing indie rock versions of Spice Girl songs under the name ‘The Herbs’ in front of nearly 1,400 people and hence-fourth; the band was born.
